I thought I'd give you a glimpse at some of the pages I received for the Vintage Gluebook Swap. This is what the sorting table looked like at one point:

Finally, watch this space for a new online class beginning in just a couple weeks. This one's a little shorter than the others, super-affordable, and really timely.
It's called My Christmas Gluebook, and we'll make a small book from watercolor paper and decorate it - gluebook style! It makes a great keepsake for yourself, or a pretty gift for a friend. Loads of images are included so you don't need to have any vintage holiday imagery of your own. All of the images and lessons can be converted to greeting cards too, if you're making some special holiday cards this year.
You know how relaxing gluebook-ing can be and we can all use a little of that in the upcoming season! Watch for the class details and registration info coming this week!
My buddy Karla from Karla's Cottage is presenting her Mini Dress Form Workshop at Paper Cowgirl in a little over a week. She's had so much interest in the live class (and it filled up so quickly) that she's created an online project tutorial for those who didn't get into the class or can't attend the event.
I've been through the tutorial and highly recommend it. You get all of the instructions with loads of pictures, some quick videos to demonstrate the steps, and even images you can use. There are lots of examples, ideas and pictures for personalizing the dress forms -I especially like the fun trim ideas you can use for loads of other projects.
The cost is just $15, and the tutorial is well worth it. I hope you try it out!

I did a few gluebook pages at Karla's on Friday - it was so nice to just play in my book and relax for a while. Karla's studio is an excellent place for that!
I was videotaped on Wednesday for the Artful Gathering class I am doing this Summer. My friend Scott from SkillCasting did all of the technical stuff and is a dream to work with - he took care of everything for me. It's so nice to have that completed - at least my portion!
Seeing the pictures from Karla's Bird Song gathering two weeks ago, and the first videotape I saw...I can really see that I've gained back every single pound I lost last year. I look about 10 years older (not to mention pretty chubby), so wish me luck as I once again try to improve my eating habits. So hard to be 'good' in stressful times of our lives, isn't it?

I had a lovely time this afternoon, just playing in my gluebook.
I have a lot of images and paper left over from various classes, plus all of the vintage paper from dictionaries, music books, etc. So, rather than cleaning out my paper bins, I started pulling things out and glueing them down.
Here's my afternoon's production:
You probably recognize some of the imagery - like I said, lots of paper left from classes. Luckily they're all pictures I like so it's fun to use them a variety of times, just to see what I can come up with.

I 'met' Lenna Young Andrews online a few years ago, when we were both in the ARTchix Yahoo group. We caught back up and became friends during my first class, Your Vintage Gluebook. Lenna has done a lot of truly beautiful vintage collage work; I've shown some here on my blog before.

My friends Beth and Karla are hosting their first online workshop, Romantic Gothic Ghosts. They have created an amazing assortment of 7 Halloween themed projects, each is really lovely and so many of them could be used at any time, not just Halloween.
This is sure to be a wonderful class - they're both very skilled at creating fabulous projects - and explaining them so anybody can do them (trust me on this one, they've walked me though all kinds of stuff!)
