OWOH Winner...

Congratulations to Thelma Bradshaw, who's the winner of my One Word One Heart drawing!

After I recorded all of the duplicates and non-bloggers (see my rule #2) I could find, I felt very confident about digging through my list...then the random number generator pulled a 14 and it was super-easy to find Thelma!

I hope you had loads of fun this year at OWOH, and I want to sincerely thank all of the people who visisted my blog and commented, it was lovely to hear from each of you!

One World One Heart Giveaway

I'm participating in the One World One Heart giveaway again this year and I'm excited to once again get invitations to visit so many bloggers...and to have bloggers visit me! I met so many great people last year and I'm ready to do it again!

So what can you win from me? I'll be giving away a big batch of vintage ephemera, stuffed into a vintage (unused!) tobacco pouch.

A Prize!

I was lucky enough to win a gift in the One World One Heart event and yesterday it arrived. I won a great handmade book thong from Angie Hall Haviland. Here's a picture:

 

She makes these with bamboo tiles; it's the perfect weight to be used for both paperback and hard cover books, which is great for me. The image is a gel transfer of a picture from Paper Imagery Designs. The beads are gorgous; blue and green and bits of gold.

(Oh yes, the backgound of the scan is my favorite art paper in the world...)

One World One Heart

   

I'm almost too late, but I'm sneaking in under the wire to join the One World-One Heart Event. It's a great opportunity for artists to meet each other through their blogs, and maybe win something in the process!

On the One World - One Heart site you can learn all of the details and see the HUGE list of bloggers who are participating. Each of them is offering a give-away to one of the visitors to their blog.

Since this is my first year participating, I want to do something special, so I've created one of my ephemera books for my event prize:

 

Can you read the cover? It says The Book of Friendship. That's some vintage lace tied on for decoration. What's inside?

   

Some pages before they went into the book...

 

The pages each measure 5" X 7 1/2".

 

There are some fun illustrations and graphics in this one, and everything is vintage. (Except the binder rings!)

Maps, music, dictionary, ledger pages, a little of everything; and about 50 pages in all.

 

There's a map paper pocket in front filled with ephemera pieces...There are postcards, game cards, tiny pages, vintage scrap and all kinds of little tidbits.

 

I think it's a pretty fun prize for you or a gift for a friend.  It makes a nice art journal for altering; and it's also easy to take apart to use the pieces separately. I'm happy to mail this in the US or Internationally.
