I picked up a darling little gift book while in California a few weeks ago, just to scan and share with you, I thought the illustrations were so gentle and sweet. I know some of you are hard at work on your Holiday art and gifts. If you can use any of the book, I hope you send me pictures of what you make!
Yep, I'm selling a few of my books. Complete, untouched, intact, actual books. Not just the pages, or the covers, these are in good enough condition that I thought you might like them as is. They'd be great for scanning the illustrations, using as altered books, using the covers in a handmade book, heck, whatever. They'd also be lovely to display, and I suppose you could even read them if you want to!

First Up: The Meadow Daisy
Next, an amazing edition of Five Little Peppers Grown Up. It has over 40 illustrations!
and finally, Count Up the Sunny Days. You might want to alter this one. It has a sturdy spine, great cover and just a few illustrations to work around.
If you're trying to access images in my free images album and you're getting a link broken error...it's not you...and it's not me...it's Typepad.
The albums like this one, that allow you to maximize the images and copy then, are all in distress. The ones that don't allow you to open the pictures, like my gluebook album, are working fine.
The Typepad tech folks tell me they're working on it, so I hope it will all be back and running pretty quick.
Tania van der Merwe sent this gorgeous digital piece she created with the French Zoologie title page image in the free album. Thank you, Tania, it is beautiful!
Remember the baby shower I went to?
A brand new life starts for Matt, Erica and Nica, our whole family is THRILLED!!!
Congratulations to Jo from Fiddlesnips for winning the Ladies Home Journal prize in our October collage challenge. (And thanks to my son Jack for once again picking a little piece of paper out of a bowl, no questions asked. He's a good guy.)
I'll have another fabulous prize and a new collage sheet for our November challenge, so stay tuned.
Just a reminder that today and tomorrow are the last days to enter your work into the October collage challenge. The prize this time is a very cool 1889 Ladies Home Journal, a prize for us vintage lovers...although the date actually means it's an antique...well, no matter.
I hope you'll join us!!!
In honor of visiting my sisters this week, our October collage challenge sheet has a cabinet card photo of 2 sisters. Aren't they pretty? The green piece of ephemera on the right is the cover from an old Paris postcard book, I love the handwritten note across the top. I added a small printer's element you can use as an embellishment.
Capture the jpeg image of the sheet above, or download the quick-print PDF here: Download October 2010 Green Paper Challenge
You remember the challenge - create anything you like using at least a portion of each of the 3 images. Post it to your blog. Then, use the linky below to link it to this post so we can all take a look.
You have a week to complete the challenge, through October 7th. On the 8th I'll pick an entry at random and send the winner a 24 page October 1889 Ladies Home Journal. Here are just a few pictures of the magazine:
That's all there is to it! Create something, post it and link it here.
I can't wait to see what you create!
