I'm participating in a fat book swap (Me! really!) organized by Robin from Thrifty Miss Priss. The theme is Winter White and I'd thought I'd let you peak at my pages...
Heather inspired me to use some big millinery flowers I picked up from Karla. I am truly contributing to the fat part of the fat books!

Although the daily Artist Class posts are finished, the blog itself is open through February and there's a bit of time left to purchase the entire program, including all of the bonus templates, collage sheets and artist extras.
There's been such a great response to our first session, and multiple requests for another. So, I plan to host Artist Class again, with new projects, after the first of the year. Watch for announcements!
I created some kits for Silver Bella so I have extra right now. I hope to get more photographed and repackaged this week. This one has such a pretty floral/art deco kind of design on the cover, and I wanted to get it listed first.
Well, I'm back from Silver Bella, where I had a terrific time at the Vendor Faire and met so many of my blog friends...and got a stern talking-to from a few of you because I hadn't posted in over a week.
I'm so sorry!
Two of my sisters joined me at SB. Both now think I am famous because so many people stopped by to say hi, so thanks everybody - you made me look good to my sisters - always a treat!
Here's what my table looked like:
Yes, that's a chair on the right, propping up more of the treasures I brought. I severely underestimated the amount of space I would need, so some things waited under the table until space cleared on top.
I'm slowly unpacking from the trip...
The collage sheets were loads of fun to bring and show off, and I have at least a handful of each style left. I put an Etsy collection together of all 10 for $25 and free shipping. Here's a peek:
I'll be listing some other excess inventory in the Etsy shop this week, so I hope you'll stop by. When you place an Etsy order, please mention the word DISCOUNT in the comment section of the payment screen - I'll refund 10% of your purchase price back to you.
There will be more items listed throughout the week as I take pictures, so please check back to see what's new. If you have any requests, let me know and I'll try to get to those first.
This offer is good this week only, and ends next Sunday, the 22nd.
Lesley is a self taught mixed media artist who lives in Virginia with her husband, Tom, and a furry family of six. She’s been published in several of the Somerset Magazines and the Artitude Zine and has taught at Art & Soul in Hampton and Oregon as well at Art-Is-You in Connecticut.
Lesley is currently scheduled to teach at Art & Soul, The Fernery, KC Willis’ Studio Retreats, Artiscape, Lisa LaRosa’s Retreat and Art-Is-You in 2010.
Lesley says, “I love working with all things vintage…the textures, the smell, the colors…they all invoke within me a desire to include them in my art.I am an avid collector of all things old and love finding those beautiful gems to pass on to others through our online shoppe.”
Lesley will show us how she takes a simple book cover and creates a beautiful wall hanging by adding vintage papers, gesso stamping, fluid chalk inking and a tape transfer of a vintage image. The finishing touches include a spattering of crystal glitter and a ribbon or lace for hanging.
Please join me in welcoming Lesley to Artist Class!
My friend, Marilyn Butler, is in an itty-bitty-book page swap and created some great circus themed pages. She used a Logomachy card image as the signature portion of the back of each.
I never even realized there were circus themed Logomachy cards, but there they are - and they're perfect for this project.
Marilyn has graciously agreed to let me share her pages with you - beautiful! Please share your creations with me when you use any of my free or purchased images, I love to feature them and add them to the Your Art album.
