Journals can be used to write down your
innermost thoughts, your creative ideas or even to hold a collection of
favorite quotes. We personalize the inside of our journals so
why not personalize the outside of them too?
In this class we will be using vintage images and ephemera (my favorites) to adorn the front and back of a purchased journal. Although mine has been adorned with shades of taupe, pink and bits of ochre, romance can be seen in all colors....from the lightest to the darkest.
I believe you will love making these journals
for yourself and for those you love as well.
Lesley says, "I am a self taught mixed media artist who lives in Virginia with my wonderful husband, Tom, and our furry family of six. I have been published in several of the Somerset Magazines and the Artitude Zine and I have taught at Art & Soul in Hampton and Oregon as well at Art-Is-You in Connecticut. In 2010 I am currently scheduled to teach at Art & Soul, KC Willis’ Studio Retreats, Artiscape, Lisa LaRosa’s Inspirational Retreat and Art-Is-You in 2010. I love working with all things vintage…the textures, the smell, the colors…they all invoke within me a desire to include them in my art. I am an avid collector of all things old and love finding those beautiful gems to pass on to others through our online shoppe and Etsy."
